Johnson County Conservation District — Kansas State Cost-Share (fencing, water, grazing)
Client identified fencing and rotational-grazing setup as top conservation challenges. Johnson County District administers state cost-share on July–June state fiscal year — independent of NRCS ranking, so runs in parallel with the 60-acre EQIP application. Also unlocks a FREE grazing plan the District will help draft.
PROPOSED ENTRY POINT
Call the Johnson County Conservation District office this week. Ask about (1) current program-year sign-up window and (2) a free grazing/water plan visit.
TIMELINE / NEXT DECISION POINT
Sign-up windows vary by county but many run Jan–Apr; DOC allocates funding July 1 each year. Decisions on ranked applications typically issued within 4–8 weeks of the sign-up close.
